On the weekend of Feb 6-7 (Super Bowl Weekend), long before the Saints and the Cards took to the field, the Youth of St. Edward Parish took to the Bowl – the Soup Bowl that is. Members of the Youth Ministry took time out of their schedules before the big game to stand with large Soup Pots in hand and collect donations from the wonderfully generous parishioners of St. Edward’s after each celebration of mass. The proceeds (Over $400) will be given to Beatitude house to help them continue their wonderful ministry to local women.
Congratulations to the members of the Youth Ministry and a HUGE Thank You to the parishioners of St. Edward parish!

I think this year we did well for only doing it for one weekend. In the past it was only done for one weekend then we decided to “up” it to two weekends last year. This year we went back to collecting for one weekend and didn’t do too bad. Thanks to everyone who contributed, it was very generous of all of you. The youth of Saint Edwards thanks you for helping.
