. . . the main task of handing on the faith is the whole community’s task, carried out as members of the community gather together to sustain each other, go out and witness to, and even work to transform (when appropriate) the world in the name of Jesus, the Christ. (Terrence Tilley)
Our vision is to engage people of ALL ages in the encounter with Jesus Christ through the experience of church life, the Scriptures, Catholic traditions—through Sunday liturgy, the sacraments, Church year feasts and seasons, justice and service, and prayer and devotions. It is a formation that reflects on the significance and meaning of living our faith life at home and in the world.
Lifelong faith formation includes two key experiences in the Christian life: conversion to Christ and learning on our shared faith – the two go hand in hand. Sometimes the learning process produces deeper conversion. Other times, the conversion process leads to learning. These two faith experiences of the head and heart are the groundwork of lifelong faith formation.

Children preparing to receive the Sacraments they have missed since Baptism, or to join the Catholic Church through Baptism, will attend RCIC classes on a regular basis beginning in September and continuing through the Easter Season, with holiday breaks.
Faith Formation for Children
On behalf of our catechists and staff, we welcome your family to our religious instruction here at Saint Edward Parish. We willingly share with you, your responsibility regarding the religious education of your children.
This program for junior high and high school students involves components of instruction in the faith, service opportunities, prayer experiences, and field trips that include attendance at the National Catholic Youth Convention. Directed by a team of adults, the social service component of living the faith through a variety of outreach experiences helps our youth to become leaders in the faith and to live it as part of their identity.
Are you ready to engage the young people of our parish in a life-changing conversation about the genius of Catholicism?
For too long we have watched young people walk away from the faith. The tragedy is, most of them have never had the genius of Catholicism presented to them in a compelling way. So they have walked away, completely unaware of what they were turning their backs on.
Something has to change. Everyone knows it. It’s time.
This is different. One look at the materials for DECISION POINT and that is clear.
Adult Faith Formation
Fr. Robert Barron created this groundbreaking program as a thematic presentation of what Catholics believe and why, so all adults can come to a deeper understanding of the Catholic Faith. Not a video lecture, Church history or scripture study, this engaging and interesting formational program uses the art, architecture, literature, music and all the treasures of the Catholic tradition to illuminate the timeless teachings of the Church.
